Lou and Micchan headed off to Liverpool today while I had a day at home with the folks. It was so nice to have a lazy start before doing more shopping and then coming home to open a bottle of wine and sit in the garden while dad fired up the BBQ.
We had a great dinner and as it started to get chilly dad did his old boy scout routine and tried to get a wood fire going. Actually I shouldn’t laugh as he did a good job in the end and we were all nice and warm.
After mum went to bed, dad and I did our usual routine of a few more drinks and a good old chat. For me, today was one of the best days of the trip!
